A Barton Company notes with sadness the passing of Dr James Dunn Laird on Sunday, 28 September 2025.
As husband to Arleen Laird / Barton he was already an integral part of the ABC Family, but he was also actively involved. For many years he erected our Flag Boards around the Borough in his spare time, and when he retired from his profession as a Consultant Radiologist, he often spent his time in retirement doing escorted viewings for prospective tenants and purchasers with us.
It is in this capacity that many of our clients will have met James over previous years, and all would have agreed he was a perfect Gentleman.
He will be sorely missed by the family, friends and all those connected with ABC.
Our office will be closed on Friday, 3 October 2025 to attend a Service of Thanksgiving for his life.
